32. Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission

Established in 1913, the State of Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission administers Connecticut's workers' compensation laws and system. Among its statutory duties, it adjudicates disputes regarding workers' compensation and Heart & Hypertension claims. The agency also provides general information on workers' compensation law, policies and procedures, as well as vocational rehabilitation services to eligible injured employees; it reviews and approves workers' compensation managed medical care plans (PPOs), individual employer self-insurance applications, and employer health & safety committees; and it maintains claim and other workers' compensation-related documents.
